Kids Say the Darndest Things

• When we visited Primary at Grandma Shelley's ward, Matthew introduced himself as Hercules, when they asked him who his Mom was he very seriously answered, "Megaron". They never did get his real name out of him.--Matthew, age 3
• "Hey Mom! We are following Daddy's trail I think...You know where we follow his footsteps or his drivesteps!"--Mason, age 4
• The babysitter said to Jared, "You sure are smart, you must have gotten some good genes." To which Jared answered, "I got them from my mom, only they got a hole in them."--Jared, age 4
• "Mom can you take me to a skate place so I can grind like Tony Hawk on the TV game?" --Mason, age 4
• "I want to be Superman when I grow up"--Sterling, age 3
• "Mom what happens if a spider bites you? Do you turn into Spiderman? I want to turn into Spiderman!"--Mason, age 4
• "Why do burgerlergerlers take your toys?"--Mason, age 4
• Mom, Chewy won't get lonely when he is alone because he has the holy ghost...Does everyone have holy ghostes, or just people?"--Mason, age 4
• Our family likes to play the guessing game (like 20 questions) when we travel. Once when it was Jared's turn to think of something, we guessed and guessed (well over 20 questions) and couldn't come up with the answer. Finally we all gave up, only to find out that what he was thinking of was "a sister dog, dead, in a pipe". I don't know why we didn't come up with that answer!--Jared, age 4
• "Chewy's (our dog) forehead looks like Dad's, but I don't have any looses like them. Why do dogs and dads have looses?" ( I have to admit this had me baffled! What the heck are "looses"? But after much more discussion, I realized that Mason was talking about the loose skin on Chewy's head, or in other words, "looses" are really wrinkles!)--Mason, age 4
• "When I get big I am going to go to the temple and find a tall girl. Then I will kiss her and I will be married!"--Mason, age 4
• "I have 4 brothers: Matthew, Jared, Sterling and ummm Kapka!" (Kapka is my good friend)--Mason, age 4
• After chasing his brother, Mason (4 yrs. old), around Cabela's, Matthew said, "my kids will not act like that! When I tell them to sit, they will sit, when I tell them to come, they will come. I will train them to be obedient like a dog!" I think we all said or thought those same things before the kids came and reality set in, huh? Good luck with that Matthew!!!!--Matthew, age 14
• For dinner one evening, I served french toast, hashbrowns and sausages. Mason picked up the plate of sausages and looked at me and asked "Is this poop?"--Mason, age 4
• "Mom, can I print this article for my hometeaching lesson? I will study it prayeruffly!"--Matthew, age 14
• While talking on the phone to his friend's mom, Matthew accidently told her he loved her!--Matthew,14
• During a bout of pneumonia, I asked Sterling how he was feeling and he said, "oh, a little sit-aroundish", Sterling, age 11
